The two teams squared off last season at McCallie with the Blue Tornado handing the Titans a 56-6 defeat. McCallie struck for 28 first-quarter points to stun the opponents and rode the shoulders of running back Shawn McColley, who ran for 196 yards, and Tyrik Stewart, who compiled 104 yards.

The Titans were state runnersup two seasons ago. They have claimed Region titles in each of the last four seasons and are currently ranked No. 5 in Class AAAA with a 4-1 mark. Blessed Trinity has victories over Westminster, St. Pius X, Creekview and Hart County with its only loss coming to Marietta, 14-6.

McCallie is also 4-1 and ranked No. 5 in Tennessee’s DII-AAA poll. The Blue Tornado are coming off a thrilling 28-20 Region win over Ensworth last week. Xavier Brooks scored three touchdowns and ran for 186 yards, and Stone Roebuck picked off two fourth-quarter Tiger passes to preserve the victory.
