Senior boarding student Ovi Ilozor was recognized by the Better Business Bureau, Inc. of Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia as one of its Student of Integrity Award winners for 2017.
Ilozor, from Ann Arbor, Mich., was one of ten students selected for the award from Tennessee counties Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, McMinn, Marion, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, Sequatchie, and Van Buren, and Georgia counties Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Murray, Walker, and Whitfield.
Ilozor was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
To win the BBB Student of Integrity Award, Ilozor had to demonstrate strong, academic, leadership, and community service, and as well as submitting a 500-word essay on "the importance of ethics and business in our community."
Ilozor graduated Sunday at McCallie's 112th Commencement, and he will attend Harvard University in the fall.
